    Ivory Wilderness River Rock Lodge is a pioneers' camp intimately situated within the heart of the nature reserve. Below a mature treeline and located on the banks of the Klaserie river, the region attracts vast herds of elephants, other bountiful wild game, and copious bird species. This pristine wilderness has remained untouched over time and will allow guests to reconnect with the mysteries of nature.

    The lodge is located roughly 1.5 hours from the closest airport, Hoedspruit East Gate airport and is also in proximity to a private airstrip for those wishing for a more direct route into the wilderness.and dining areas.

    Luxury Rondavel

    Each of the five private rondavels is built in a classic Kruger-style and faces onto the Klaserie river. Each room is fully equipped with an en-suite bathroom, power sockets, and fans. Each en-suite bathroom is fully equipped with double basins, a shower, and bath for guests to fully appreciate the range of all-natural Africology products.

  • Property Overview

    Here, amidst the reserve’s astounding year-round concentration of animals, including the seasonal Great Wildebeest Migration, guests can have an unsurpassed wildlife experience. Guests can almost exclusively explore this area on a game drive or on food, enjoying access to pristine outdoor dining locations.

    There are two intimate camps of nine tented suites each and a family tent. Each elegant tent, with its own private butler and housekeeper, reflects the ambiance and glamour of Kenyan explorers of old. Slip into a world of hardwood floors, polished silver and copper bathtubs juxtaposed against the romance of the open Mara plains, with their abundant herd of wildlife. Beautifully handcrafted artefacts, fine antiques, leather buttoned Chesterfield sofas, books, and crystal and candlelight adorn the comfortable sitting and dining areas.

    Family Suite:

    The camp lends itself to family travel in the form of two spacious Tented Suites that make up a Family Tent. A Family Tent comprises of a twin and double room with adjoining interior corridor and private guest area. Each tent has its own ensuite bathroom and a private veranda and seating area. The Family Tent can accommodate two adults and two children (three children can be provided for on request).
